During the first minute of blastoff, a space shuttle has an average acceleration of 5g ( five times the magnitude of the acceleration due to gravity on the surface of earth (9.8m/s^2)). Calculate the shuttle’s speed in metres per second and kilometres per hour after 1.0 min.
this is the question, and i’ve got an answer of vf = 2940 m/s.

but the textbook says "vf = 2.9m/s"
is my answer correct? or if not, what am i doing wrong?

Does the book say km/s
V = at
V = 5*9.8*60 = 2940 m/s
so its probably a typo in the book they probably meant ot type 2.9 km/s

I just wanted to get general reviews on the album that Rivers Cuomo put out. I think "Blastoff" and "Longtime Sunshine" and "Crazy One" need to be on an actual album and not on just demos. Get back and let me know what you think.
yeah, i got it.
personally, i think it’s an AMAZING album!!!!! i love that man to death. but yes, "crazy one" is amazing and so is "blast off" and "longtime sunshine." but alot of weezer fans are saying that rivers might release another solo album w/ a whole other batch of demo’s he has, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
my fav song off the album is "i was made for you." GREAT SONG! over all, it’s great… get it, if you havent.
Does any one remember a song from Sunday School…it went something like this 10 and 9, 8 and seven thru the clouds of heaven the countdown’s getting closer every day? and then at the end of the song you’d have a countdown and then yell blastoff. Doesn anyone remember what the song is called and what the words are? Thanks for the help!

it would sit on the moon and wave at ppl- it was really creepy, kinda like a rag doll and ppl would talk to it…there may have been a rocket in it- it was a kids’ show and i think it was on abc in australia- i’m so sure i went to a play about it
I think my uncle has 1 of those dolls. He got it in the mail. I’ll ask him.
